Youth Climate Innovators 2024

The Youth Climate Innovators 2024 project is a national competition initiated by the Department of Climate Change and Environment (DCCE), in collaboration with SCGC and The Youth Fund. It was organized in celebration of World Ozone Day 2024, with the aim of empowering young people across Thailand to become creative leaders in tackling climate change.

The program invites students aged 12–18 years from schools nationwide to design innovative solutions that address global warming, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and promote sustainable lifestyles. Projects may include new inventions, green technologies, or creative campaigns that encourage behavioral change toward environmental responsibility.

This initiative aligns with Thailand’s commitments under the Paris Agreement and the Action for Climate Empowerment (ACE) framework, focusing on building youth capacity and participation in climate action. By developing innovation, creativity, and problem-solving skills, the project enables youth to transform ideas into practical applications that can be scaled to local and national impact.

Through collaboration between government, private sector, and youth-led organizations, Youth Climate Innovators 2024 represents a new model of partnership — one that nurtures innovation, inspires young changemakers, and advances Thailand’s mission toward a low-carbon, climate-resilient future.
